My QuickBooks file is running slow, what can I do to fix it?

That’s a great question and is becoming very popular with big businesses and older businesses. Your file may be getting too big. With such a volume of information stored into one file, it’s likely that it contains items that can cause corruption to the transactions and workflows in the file. This is where we can help: We can take your file and do a thorough cleaning, review and provide you with a list of factors that’s causing it to slow down. We offer you a few options to get you back on your feet. With your choice, we will run the most thorough work on the file either by repairing and retaining the existing file, down-sizing the file to a smaller state, or building a completely fresh file for you.

I want to do my own bookkeeping, do you offer just review services?

Yes! We love that our clients want to do their own bookkeeping, it helps them stay informed. For clients that prefer doing the daily, on a monthly basis, when bank and card statements become available for the month prior, we review and reconcile the file; provide a list of issues and concerns; and supply you with reporting and recommendations. Just know that when you become overburdened by the bookkeeping workload, we want you to know we can take over at any point. All you need to do is draft the estimates and invoices to your clients, we take care of the rest.

I’m new to payroll, can you help me set it up?

Yes! We offer complete support to get you started with payroll. Don’t have an Unemployment Tax account? We help you get one! Worker’s Comp insurance? Yes, we help you get quotes so you can be compliant with your state. From start to finish we walk you through the payroll setup process so you know the right information is in the right place, and your setup is correct and your employees are being paid on-time.

I have QuickBooks Desktop Pro and I want to try using QuickBooks Online with my data before I make a choice on what I want to use permanently. Can I try QuickBooks Online first before I make the big switch?

Yes! We offer two options: Free sample file access at no cost, or try your own data in a test environment for $99! All you need to do is send us the file, we will set up the conversion and verification process to make sure the data is stable to convert. Once the conversion is active and perfect, we will add you to the online file as an admin user to use for two weeks! If you choose to keep it, we set up a subscription on autopay at your discounted rate. If it’s not right for you, just keep using your desktop and we cancel the Online version. We offer lifetime discounts on all of our Online QB products as well as Enterprise. For convenience, we bill subscriptions on auto-pay each month.

I’m trying to find a way to keep track of my employees time and not have to manually add up their timesheets for each payroll. What’s the best way to handle this?

QuickBooks offers QuickBooks Time that is now fully integrated with all QuickBooks Online Products. We are happy to walk you through the process of setup and implementation. Time offers two different versions of Time where the best allows you to GPS track each employee to make sure they’re where they need to be while working. While they’re off the clock, they are off GPS and can retain their privacy. The time app allows full integration with QuickBooks Payroll by auto calculating hours worked to hours paid in Payroll. Time can be assigned to clients as a billable cost as well! Always know where you are in overhead and if you are staying within your time cost margin with projects. The best part is PTO is integrated too! Employees can ask for time off right within the app, and PTO can accrue based on hours worked or by paycheck! QuickBooks Time is definitely the app to try when it comes to timesheets app integration with payroll services.

I’m an attorney and have to follow trust accounting requirements by the Bar, do you offer Trust accounting services?

Yes we do! We support many attorneys in several states on Trust accounting and reporting requirements. Allows us to take over the management of your trust accounts in making sure you follow the three point verification method of Trust accounting. We run all our attorney bookkeeping on the first week of each month. Review, verify, reconcile, and report. We provide all the necessary reports and bundle them with your statements each month so that if you get randomly called for Bar audits, we are right at your side and ready with paperwork to submit it the same day! How awesome is that?! The best part is, if they have questions, we have answers, and can provide responses immediately. We want to make your audit process easy, no stress, and not even part of your day.

I have a bunch of receipts and I have no idea if they’re even transacted in QuickBooks, can you help?

Yes! The best way to handle receipts is to use the QuickBooks phone app and take a picture of each one with the app. This uploads them into the Receipts tab in Transactions, then we will take care of it from there! The best way to maintain this is to take a pic each time you get a receipt, and you never have to worry about the rest.

I’m trying to enter transactions in QuickBooks but they keep going to the wrong places, what am I doing wrong?

You may be using the Rules feature incorrectly. I highly recommend not using the auto-apply feature in Rules. Often QuickBooks updates to their AI software and the Rules feature can get a little exasperated. The best method to assign Rules is to only tie them to actual expenses, not transfers or payments to banks or payroll. If you do, then you overwrite the background language that can cause duplication! The Transactions tab is a very finicky feature, but it will behave when it’s handled a certain way. I want to sell my business, but I know my books are a mess, can you clean them up for me?

Yes! We are so glad you asked us. We are happy to do a bit of an overhaul on your books to make sure you sparkle! This is so important to us that you get the best value for your business. We go through your tax returns to make sure your Balance Sheet is beautiful. We go through your whole file to make sure no stone is unturned so you have the best and most representable file ever. I got a letter from the state about a sales tax audit, can you help?

Yes! What’s even better? We go through your file, upon your approval, and make sure everything is where it needs to be. We go through the transactions and run reporting and calculations based on your audit period to let you know comparatively, what you filed, and what you collected and owe. We work with you to get the records in place for your audit, and can even sit in the audit with you to guide you through the process so that you understand what is going on.

I’ve been driving my personal car for work, can I expense my fuel?

No! Please don’t expense your fuel in your business if you have a personal vehicle. Only company owned or Company Leased vehicles can expense fuel. If you are using a personal vehicle for work, then you need to do a mileage reimbursement. If your company owns the vehicle, call us to make sure your balance sheet is properly represented!
